My external harddrive crashed on me. OUCH..I am trying to recover my latest shoots and wedding images presently..Many thanks to Joe for helping me out..
:crosses fingers
And yes I usually do back up everything, but I have been so swamped I hadn’t had a chance to do my latest backup run..
Bad photographer..no 5D
With Dani Danger who was super fun to work with..

A quick photo I shot of my wedding dress for the event next week!
Next week is going to be a blast. I have friends coming in from out of town to stay with me as well..!
Yeah for black weddings..
I am so uninspired by Arizona. I know so many people love shooting in the desert, but frankly it is so far away from where I live, and isn’t worth the travels as it is just drab and brown . I miss being where everything is green and there is water everywhere.
Arizona ,in comparison to the east coast ,also a shortage of the dilapidated industrial spots I love so much.
Gentrification has killed my area. The area feels like a giant strip mall.
All of this has made me work more in studio settings and learn a bit better lighting which is a plus, but I am very limited by shooting space in my home.
I would love a private home with acreage backing to protected woodlands.
If it had an old large farmhouse I could turn into a large studio it would be all the better..
I certainly feel as though Arizona has run it’s course for me. The people here are amazing, but it simply does not feel like home. The market has presently made it impossible to sell my home here, but we are refurbishing the older elements so when the market picks up we can bail out of Arizona.
Then I will be back to green trees and white winters and blue waters everywhere..
…So like many semi-amateur photographers out there I do not have the funds for an arsenal of thousands and thousands of dollars worth of lighting equipment so I am limited to using 1-3 light set ups . I thought posting my lighting set ups may help the ones out here who are in the same boat . I don’t pretend that I am some lighting guru. I am the most technically UN-savvy of all the photographers I know and still learning
I tend to just experiment moving lights around to hopefully get the desired affect. Please feel free to post your projects and set ups as well or add you lighting advice too.
Here is a basic shot of LT Smash from this week..

Pretty simple lighting..beauty dish with 800 up and to the right with a 400 strobe with a grid to the left and behind..
I just shot with LT Smash who was traveling through Arizona.
This new set is up in the gallery.
